Required Qualifications:

Completion of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Advanced Prescribing Authority (for new practitioners, must obtain within 1 year). Recent direct patient care experience. Recent hospital pharmacy experience. Demonstrates ability to use evidence based medicine in direct patient care. Demonstrates self-directed learning and continuing education. Capable of making decisions and working independently. Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good organizational and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated; able to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment. Experience with Windows based computer applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous project experience and committee work. Previous experience with training or precepting. Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists.
