Required Qualifications:

Completion of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to use computer medication order entry systems and able to access and proficiently use drug information resources and word processing. Fluency in written and verbal English language. Ability to incorporate AHS organizational values into person’s work, actions and decisions. Ability to perform duties as outlined on the Physical Demand Statement (PDS) for the position. Ability to follow and adhere to AHS policies, procedures, goals and objectives. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Proven initiative and motivation is required. Ability to work with a wide variety of people in health care environment with professionalism and respect. Ability to effectively manage your time and setting priorities when faced with multiple tasks and deadlines. Ability to provide a positive and friendly approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with empathy and sincerity. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Personal and professional accountability.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with medication administration cabinets/unit dose drug distribution preferred. Additional Prescribing Authorization and to administer injections preferred. PRAC ID preferred. IV additive knowledge/TPN knowledge/Chemotherapy certification preferred. Completion of an accredited hospital residency/Pharm D program preferred. Large Acute Care hospital experience delivering proactive, integrated clinical practice is preferred (at least 1 year within the last 3 years).
