Required Qualifications:

Registered Nurse with current CARNA practice permit. Minimum of 5 years acute cardiac clinical experience or equivalent required, including knowledge specific to cardiac surgical procedures. Computer proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database applications. Must demonstrate excellent organization skills, comfort in working in a high paced environment, exceptional customer service skills, strong leadership, communication, conflict management/resolution and coordinating skills. Possess the ability to facilitate, promote and maintain the internal and external partnerships with various stakeholders. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment with numerous interruptions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree in health related field is preferred. Experience with APPROACH an asset. Extensive knowledge of and experience in cardiac surgery, including the educational background and/or experience to assess and evaluate the needs of patients and families, and the resources available to support patient care.
