Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Director, Parking Services, the Parking Services Manager is a diverse role, responsible for managing parking operations within their assigned portfolio. The Manager is accountable for providing the leadership and operational oversight for a portfolio encompassing multiple AHS hospitals and satellite sites in support of the values, vision, objectives and business requirements of Parking Services and Alberta Health Services. The Manager’s leadership, advice, support and consultation extends beyond their Parking Services portfolio into projects, provincial initiatives and business development. They are the main contact and initial escalation point for their portfolio; their role is essential in maintaining productive relationships to ensure all aspects are considered prior to execution.

Description:

The position is accountable for the performance, development and results of their portfolio and staff. Parking operations are essential to a positive experience for AHS patients, visitors and staff, therefore the Manager’s application of their professional expertise, along with their staff’s performance, is key to the success of Parking Services and Alberta Health Services. The Parking Services Manager is involved at the portfolio level in the formation of parking strategies, the deployment and administration of policy and programs, and the supervision and leadership of support staff.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years progressively responsible experience in parking, commercial and facility property management is required; Leadership skills, including a demonstrated ability to manage change, to make decisions in a collaborative or independent way when appropriate; Ability to achieve goals within an organization such as AHS and experience managing parking facilities and vendors within a unionized environment; Ability to cultivate positive relationships between public agencies, government, committees and other partners; Ability to manage human, financial and material resources within an operating environment; Strong track record in establishing and maintaining positive and effective working relationships within AHS and with external contacts; Ability to deal with legal aspects of contracts and lease agreements; Keeps current with technology and best practices in the building industry.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 5-7 years progressively responsible experience in parking, commercial and facility property management is required; A combination of education, skills, and experience may be considered.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with facility management and operations management in healthcare facilities is an asset.
