Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary degree or diploma.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Post-secondary degree or college/university diploma is required in the field of social work (preferred) or psychology. Equivalencies in the human/social sciences may be considered. 3-5 years’ experience in health care systems (pediatric preferred) and supporting families managing stress. Must possess/do: Empathic listening skills. Financial, resource, basic needs assessments; resource counseling, support and referrals, and skill working with a wide range of service providers including multidisciplinary team members, internal or external programs, and other child serving sectors including community based agencies. Excellent communication skills including ability to connect effectively with a wide range of individuals. Excellent time management, priority setting skills and ability to work independently; seek supervision pro-actively. Demonstrated excellence in team work; including capacity to set boundaries for self and others. Comfortable with Conflict Management – Proactive. Strong understanding of child & family oriented community resources, programs, financial supports. Direct knowledge of other child serving sectors is essential. Knowledge of Patient and Family Centered Care and skilled at integrating the principles of PFCC in daily practice and personal behavior. Other: Must be able to cover shifts on a 6 week rotation (Including 8-4:15PM, 9-5:15).

Preferred Qualifications:

Comfortable presenting to groups or working with groups of clients (E.g. presentations to families re supports and resources). Direct knowledge of ACH programs and services is an asset. A genuine, welcoming, positive attitude open to change and a dynamic work environment.
