Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Completion of an accredited specialty Orthopaedic Technician program. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Recent, related working experience as an Orthopedic Technician in an acute-care setting is preferred as well as experience working within the full LPN scope of practice. The ability to balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities is essential. The candidate must be able to work within a team environment and to effectively contribute to patient/client planning processes. Excellent communication skills, a compassionate and caring attitude and attention to detail are necessary.
