Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Completion of an accredited specialty Orthopaedic Technician program. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Valid practice permit from the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Successful completion and certification of a recognized Orthopedic Technician program, with specific authorization from CLPNA to practice in the area of orthopedic. Minimum one year experience in general orthopedic duties, in an emergency/acute care setting. BLS-C.

Preferred Qualifications:

Maintains competencies outlined in legislation and profession through continuous learning. Balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities. Work within a team environment and effectively contribute to patient planning processes. Strong assessment and communication skills (verbal and written).
