Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) from Heart and Stroke Foundation, current within the last 12 months, required. Handling, moving and lifting heavy or awkward equipment and/or individuals are required. Ability to perform all duties in accordance with related legislation. Physically able to perform all assigned tasks. This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work related travel is required. Minimum two years of occupational therapy practice experience with older adult population.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time management skills. Proven critical thinking and decision-making skills, as well as an ability to work effectively as part of an inter-professional health care team. One year experience in community care is an asset.
