Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to thoroughly and accurately collect and document information in a professional and timely manner. Experience in knowledge translation and coaching, has worked in a multidisciplinary team, has demonstrated an ability to effectively manage change and can foster innovate solutions to diverse issues and challenges. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills. Ability to work confidently and independently, self-directed, client-focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Knowledge of the developmental disability, mental health and autism fields as well as knowledge in system navigation and the ability to connect stakeholders to available resources. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation and build solid relationships with family members, public agencies and other health care partners. Effective computer, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are a position requirement. Ability to adapt and innovate in a continuously changing health care environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with individuals with mental health and developmental disabilities, with a strong focus in Autism Spectrum Disorders. Preference to applicants with experience in supporting and advocating for clients with mental health disorders and developmental disabilities through a behaviour management, trauma informed care and sensory processing model and be experienced with psychosocial rehabilitation, applied behavioural strategies, and NVCI.
