Completion of master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
Additional Required Qualifications:Masters or a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized occupational therapy program OR A Master’s of OT or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Alberta Heart and Stroke: Basic Life Support- Healthcare Provider. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in an adult, acute care setting within the last year. Experience in at least one of the following clinical areas within the last twelve months: Geriatrics, orthopedics, ICU, medicine. Must demonstrate an ability to provide clinical service within a continually changing health care environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with research projects including data collection, outcome measures within the past 2 years. Experience working in a critical care environment (an Intensive Care Unit) within the last two years. Familiarity with discharge planning options in Calgary Zone. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a patient-centered, interdisciplinary team of health care professionals. Effective self-management skills and demonstrated initiative.
