A Master’s Degree in Nursing with a focus on advanced clinical practice, current registration on the extended practice roster with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) are required. A minimum of five years of related experience in Neurosurgery, emergency or intensive care is also required. The incumbent must have demonstrated leadership ability and effective interpersonal skills as well as written communication skills. BCLS-HCP certification is required. Active registration and Nurse Practitioner practice permit with CARNA and to maintain registration throughout the duration of employment.
