Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of an approved NP program at a minimum of a Master of Nursing level or equivalent. Registration with CARNA as a NP. Recent clinical experience in area of practice. Current certifications: CPR (BLS). First Aid, It’s Your Move required. Willingness to complete additional education and/or certifications specific to area of practice. Must have advanced knowledge in the field of Hepatology. Willingness and ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads and work assignments. Ability to demonstrate a respectful, courteous and positive attitude. Able to work well within a multidisciplinary team. Must have demonstrated organizational, prioritization and critical thinking skills.


Additional Required Qualifications:

As Required.


Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in advanced practice for paracentesis preferred. Minimum two (2) years’ experience within the last five (5) years’ clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner with patients with liver disease. Managing a large population of complex hepatology patients with effects of portal hypertension, ie. Managing ascites, GI bleeds and encephalopathy, Manage and organize treatment for liver cancer patients, Diagnose and treat Hepatitis C, Performing fibroscans.
