Required Qualifications:

The NP holds a Master of Nursing or equivalent graduate degree with a focus on advanced clinical nursing practice. Active registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) as a Nurse Practitioner in the Family/All Ages Stream. Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an NP in a relevant outpatient clinical setting and/or front line clinical work. Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) and ACLS certification are required.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Must understand and practice within full scope of practice in an interdisciplinary team environment. Computer literacy skills mandatory.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working across the life span and in primary care setting such as Family Medicine, Urgent Care or Out Post setting. Completion of: Trauma Nurse Core Course or other advanced clinical setting nursing skills, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support and International Trauma Life Support and/or Trauma Nurse Core Course. Experience in a wide range of assessment, treatment and therapeutic interventions, health promotion, diagnostic procedures, and follow-up care in the community. EMR experience.
