Required Qualifications:

Masters of Nursing Program from an accredited University with a Nurse Practitioner component and achieved the designation “Nurse Practitioner – All Ages or Nurse Practitioner - Adult”. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for ensuring that his/her registration is current, valid and on the Nurse Practitioner roster of the CARNA under the health professional act. The successful applicant will demonstrate how their education and experience has prepared them for this advanced practice role. Ambulatory care or outpatient clinic experience required. A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing and NP experience is required; with surgical or neurosurgical experience being an asset. The Nurse Practitioner is required to have valid certification in BLS for health care providers (hcp) (c).

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of Med Access (EMR) training and experience will be considered an asset. Experience working with patients with spine problems is strongly preferred. Knowledge of the principles of the RAH Way is considered an asset.
