Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner Program at a minimum of a Master of Nursing level or equivalent. Active registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the Family/All Ages Stream. Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Proficiency in lab interpretation and other diagnostic results.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to function effectively both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to enable working directly with patients and their family members. Demonstrated strong decision making/problem solving abilities. Experience in a wide range of assessment, treatment and therapeutic interventions, health promotion, diagnostic procedures, and follow-up care in the community. Computer literacy skills (i.e. TELUS Wolfe, NetCare, etc). This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work related travel.


Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Basic Trauma Life Support. Emergency Nursing Course, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Trauma Nurse Core Course. CTAS scoring and ECG interpretation. Broad knowledge of Indigenous history and cultures within Alberta. High degree of cultural competence as it relates to working with Indigenous people. Ability to foster partnerships, establish and maintain strong working relationships with First Nations and Metis communities, public agencies and government.
