Required Qualifications:

Completion of one of the following programs: Master's degree in Psychology. Master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy and who have Psychosocial Intervention Authorization. Master's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Master's degree in Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable regulatory college.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Applicants for this position must be a Registered Psychologist, Registered Social Worker, Registered Nurse, Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Registered Occupational Therapist. Critical thinking skills, advanced knowledge of mental illnesses, and evidence based/evidence informed treatment (including risk assessment, crisis management, concurrent disorders treatment, harm-reduction), working knowledge and experience of the identification and management of complex addiction, mental illness, and chronic disease are required. Basic Cardiac Life Support- Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) required. An excellent attendance record and personal suitability must be demonstrated through your employment record and references.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with homeless populations and knowledge of Edmonton inner-city resources and Correction Centers are essential. 5 years of work experience in mental health and/or addictions preferred. 5 years of work experience with homeless individuals is preferred. Current registration with the appropriate professional college/association.
