Completion of one of the following programs: master's degree in Psychology; master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; master's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; master's degree in Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; Active or eligible for registration with the applicable regulatory college.
Additional Required Qualifications:Following qualifications will also be considered: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy with considerable experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with: A related Master’s degree including training in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy or, Considerable experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Current BCLS-HCP Level C- Health Care Provider. Minimum of 3 years experience working in addiction and mental health. Extensive knowledge of the community resources relevant to addiction and mental health treatment in the community. Able to work one evening per week. Demonstrated competencies in trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with adults experiencing substance use and/or mental health concerns. Experience working in community addiction and mental health treatment settings. Formal training in CBT, DBT, EMDR, group therapy, family therapy and/or other evidence-based therapy. Experience in the application of harm reduction principles to support individuals living with substance use concerns. Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI). Suicide Prevention training.
