Required Qualifications:

Completion of one of the following programs: master's degree in Psychology; master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; master's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; master's degree in Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; Active or eligible for registration with the applicable regulatory college.

Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of one year’s experience providing a full spectrum of mental health therapy services in a concurrent setting. Authorization to do mental health psychosocial intervention is required. Extensive knowledge and familiarity with a strength-based, client-centered approach. Comfortable with computers and electronic health record formats and able to type well enough to complete own clinical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge of a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, trauma recovery treatments, and motivational interviewing is preferred. Suicide Prevention, Risk Assessment and Management. Standard First Aid. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
