Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years’ recent experience in a relevant radiation field. Graduate of a Medical Radiation Technology program. Member in good standing and current registration/eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists ( ACMDTT). Completed Diagnostic Imaging QA Courses. Computer skills required. Radiation Protection Legislation Self Study Course (Required to be completed once hired). Must be able at times to work alone and be able to stand wearing Lead Aprons for an extended period of time. Will be required to travel and need Alberta Class 5 Drivers License (Vehicle expenses covered by AHS).
Preferred Qualifications:Hands-on QA experience. Good organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Good interpersonal/communication skills. Ability to cooperate, work independently and promote good teamwork. Perception, initiative, good judgment and concern for detail and accuracy. Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff and physicians. Ability to work under pressure. Completion of It’s Your Move.
