Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Member in good standing and current registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). CAMRT CT 1, 2 and 3 courses and practicum (CTIC) to be completed within 3 years of hire. Venipuncture certification Good organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and promote good teamwork. Perception, initiative, good judgement and concern for detail and accuracy. Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations. Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff and physicians. Practices effective radiation protection, infection control and safety techniques as applicable.
Preferred Qualifications:CT Experience. Full CTIC Certificate with completed practicum. ACMDTT Enhanced Practice Authorization in Medication Administration.
