Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Please note, this facility provides Long Term Care (LTC) or Designated Supportive Living (DSL) services and by Order of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, many AHS employees are restricted to work only at a single LTC/DSL site for the remainder of the pandemic. Speak to the hiring manager who will confirm if, as the successful candidate in this position, you will be restricted to work at only one LTC/DLS site in Alberta. Experience as an MRT required, CT, Fluoro, mammo, experience preferred, Mobile imaging in the ER, OR, and ICU experience preferred Additional Preferred: Experience as an MRT required, CT, Fluoro, mammo, experience preferred, Mobile imaging in the ER, OR, and ICU experience preferred. Ability to plan, organize and prioritize workload, Ability to analyze and interpret physicians requisitions, patient histories, etc. to produce optimal films for diagnosis, Ability to apply policies, procedures, and instructions, Ability to operate equipment efficiently and safely, Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Evidence of care and understanding in communications with patients. Evidence of physical ability, coordination and dexterity to operate equipment and maneuver patients.

The incumbent will be evaluated on the above with respect to the following: Excellence in the performance of technical functions. Evidence of ability to maintain positive relationships and communication links with all external clients Ability to work in and support a team approach to the provision of service. Attention to details of the work environment.
