Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Member of Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists. Experience as an MRT required. Ability to plan, organize and prioritize workload. Ability to analyze and interpret physicians requisitions, patient histories, etc. to produce optimal films for diagnosis. Ability to apply policies, procedures, and instructions. Ability to operate equipment efficiently and safely. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. The incumbent will be evaluated on the above with respect to the following: Excellence in the performance of technical functions; Evidence of ability to maintain positive relationships and communication links with all external clients; Ability to work in and support a team approach to the provision of service; Attention to details of the work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Evidence of ongoing professional development and educational courses preferred. Leadership and human resources education preferred. CT, Fluoro, mammo, experience preferred. Mobile imaging in the ER, OR, and ICU experience preferred.
