Required Qualifications:

PhD in Medical Physics. Minimum 2-year Commission of Accreditation of Medical Physics (CAMPEP) Residency or the equivalent. Member or eligible membership in the College of Physicists in Medicine (MCCPM) or a Fellow (preferred) of the Canadian College of Physicists (FCCPM) designations or the equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of health care and Medical Physics leadership experience. Extensive knowledge of clinical medical physics, excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to take responsibility for critical clinical decisions. Experience in project management, change management and process improvement. Evidence of academic productivity and leadership in the area of Medical Physics in the form of peer reviewed grants, publications and national/international academic recognition at the level of an associate/full professor University level is essential. Additional Required Qualifications:

Leadership and mentorship experience in people management with a team of direct reports. Demonstrated ability to communicate and engage with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching, and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Commitment in building teams towards a common purpose. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within a large, diverse organization. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build relationships with foundations, committees, and other partners. Knowledge and experience in the application of conflict resolution strategies. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills. Patient and Family focused with a commitment to providing high-quality services. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Ability to continually analyze effectiveness of strategies and implement quality and process improvements. Demonstrates respect for culture, diversity and inclusion. Able to demonstrate competence in the development of new programs and services to meet the needs of the population.


Preferred Qualifications:

FCCPM or equivalent designation. A minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare/academic oncology environment including leadership of organizations of significant size, complexity, and diversity.
