Possess a MSc or PhD in Medical Physics. Two years residency / clinical experience minimum. Demonstrated knowledge in: Radiation Physics, Radiation Dosimetry, Principles of Imaging, Radiation Protection, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Radiation Biology, Radiation Measurement Techniques and Instrumentation, and Clinical Oncologic Imaging and Radiation Oncology.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Excellent oral and written communication skills are mandatory as well as excellent computer skills, with scripting experience (e.g. MATLAB) a minimum; general measurement and error analysis skills; adaptability and ability to work independently and as an effective team member; ability to work effectively with scientific and medical professionals, as well as all members of the multidisciplinary health care team; well organized, efficient and able to meet competing priorities; good presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who have graduated from a CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics Graduate Program and/or CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics Residency Program, with CCPM certification or equivalent (ABR, ABMP). A demonstrated track record of research would be an asset. Experience in C# and Eclipse scripting, Monte Carlo methods specifically in RT, would be an asset.
