Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree required. A minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience, preferably roles in the provision of healthcare or a strong working knowledge and intimate understanding of healthcare delivery. Working knowledge of the Alberta Health Services and the Clinical Informatics function. Customer facing experience bridging business, IT, clinical, and clinical support services, across the breadth and depth of a large healthcare organization.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Proven strong organization skills, excellent communication and interview skills, excellent interpersonal and team building skills. Ability to learn and use electronic clinical information systems. Ability to think systematically and critically, create value or business cases, inform and develop strategy, and engage others in same. Experience managing risk and dependencies. Experience in process improvement. Experience in planning, communication, facilitation, coordination of multiple projects/operational work packages. Experience mentoring and supporting junior staff. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Self-motivated with little supervision. Ability to tolerate prolonged sitting, computer work.


Preferred Qualifications:

Adult Education Experience or Training. Clinical background preferred. Experience delivering training an asset. 5+ years healthcare experience. 3+ years in health informatics or relevant experience. CPHIMS/CPHIMS-CA certification.
