Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of current experience in critical care nursing. A minimum of post-secondary education in a health profession. Valid practice permit from CARNA. BLS-C (Basic Rescuer) training. Experience in collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Progressive leadership experience in a healthcare environment in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity. Uses strategic thinking, taking into account long-term goals assessing options and implications. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Strong organizational skills, client-focused orientation and commitment to providing long-term quality services. Leadership skills, including effective communication skills, demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation among, and build solid relationships with, public agencies, government, boards, committees and other partners.


Preferred Qualifications:

Related Bachelors’ Degree. ACLS. Experience managing a unionized environment. 2 years of critical care management experience & demonstrated ability in analytical decision making, coaching for performance, mentorship/conflict management & management of diverse human/financial/physical resources in a changing/complex environment. Expertise with electronic health information systems & financial/human resources applications (e.g. ECritical, EPeople, EManager, MySafetyNet, RLS).
