Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or other healthcare related business degree. Master’s Degree is preferred. Graduate of a Health Information Management program recognized by the Canadian Health Information Management Association with current active registration. Formal training in change management (Prosci certified preferred). Five (5) to Ten (10) years’ experience in Health Information Management, in positions of progressively increasing responsibility. Demonstrated experience with change management and implementation of new processes/procedures within a team environment. Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of DAD/NACRS, electronic health record, abstracting, registration and switchboard systems.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client-focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions to resolve complex and diverse issues. Experience in the implementation of health information management business transformation strategies through the use of technology. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve common goals.
