Required Qualifications:

Baccalaureate Degree in nursing or related health care field and 5 years recent Acute Care experience. Able to work with people in a health care environment with professionalism and respect. Proven interpersonal skills, organizational/time management skills, and sound decision making. Flexible, reliable and dependable. Able to work effectively independently and within a team. Able to change priorities based on multiple tasks and deadlines. Valid driver’s license.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Must be able to manage conflict resolution independently, seeking additional resources when required (Labor Relations, HR resources on Insite, Director as necessary). The Manager will utilize established procedures and practices and will be supported by the Director and management team. Must be able to manage allocated budget on an annual basis, including explaining monthly variances. Every management decision must be fiscally responsible yet at the same time must provide safe patient care. The Manager will utilize established procedures and practices and will be provided supported by the Director, Business Advisory Support and/or management team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong clinical skills in Rural Acute Care nursing; progressive leadership or management experience; BCLS-HCP, NRP or relevant advanced practice certificates are assets. Active CARNA registration in good standing. Proficiency in Microsoft word, Excel, and Outlook. Demonstrates problem solving and conflict resolution skills/training. Ability to manage stress effectively.
