Graduate of a recognized program with a Baccalaureate Degree in a relevant discipline. Registration with relevant professional organization recognized by the Health Professions Act in Alberta. Minimum 5 years progressive management experience with the health care industry, in a Mental Health setting required. 3 - 5 years of knowledge/skill development and experience in Mental Health is required. Track record of innovative leadership in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment. Fluent in multiple collective agreements and have advanced knowledge of each discipline's roles, responsibilities and scope of practice. Demonstrated skills and experience in strategic experience, Quality Improvement, Operations Management, Human Resources Management, and Financial Management. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Interpersonal skills, including ability to problem solve and initiate and implement conflict resolution process. Demonstrated experience working on initiatives with partners both internal and external to AHS.
Additional Required Qualifications:Knowledge and understanding of the Addiction and Mental Health continuum of care. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:Master’s level preparation is preferred. Community adult mental health outpatient experience is preferred. Knowledge of a variety of treatment modalities across adult populations is an asset. Knowledge of Connect Care, Operational Best Practice, Prosci methods an asset.
