Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have a positive attitude, demonstrate professional image, exceptional customer service ability, be a strong team player and be flexible with the ability to adapt to change. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. A minimum of 2 years recent management experience with an extensive knowledge of AHS Human Resources processes and collective agreements. A minimum of 5 years of experience in operative services, recovery room, emergency and/or intensive care. Active registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current BCLS-HCP.


Additional Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess outstanding communication skills with the ability to foster positive and collaborative working relationships. In addition, the incumbent will demonstrate skills and have recent experience in virtual service delivery, change management and quality improvement processes. The ability to be flexible and prioritize competing demands in a fast pace environment is imperative.


Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with post-secondary education or combined experience in Healthcare Management, Medical Surgical Nursing, Critical Care, Emergency, Community Health, or those with recent experience managing the care of patients requiring urologic and/or surgical services. Certification is Advanced Cardiac Life Support is an asset.
