Required Qualifications:

A graduate of a recognized University program with a Baccalaureate Degree in a relevant discipline. Registration in a professional organization in accordance with the Health Professions Act of Alberta. A minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience within the domain of Healthcare. A deep understanding and knowledge of the treatment of addictions. Knowledge of current safety programs that are commonly used in the healthcare setting. A clinical background in addictions and mental health. Managerial knowledge of financial management, HR processes, critical thinking and problem solving. Experience supporting the implementation of initiatives through AIM/AIW or other quality improvement strategies.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Knowledge and understanding of the Addictions and Mental Health continuum. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous education. Understanding of the LEADS model in healthcare and its application at the frontline.


Preferred Qualifications:

A Master’s degree is preferred. Community mental health experience with a sharp emphasis on community detox or inpatient medical detox.
