Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education in a related field and/or technical certification in a related field required or 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate as per ABSA kW rating guidelines where boiler support is necessary.

Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of one year of previous related experience in a large computerized multi-building, multi-system public facility is essential. Fire Panel and pneumatic tube experience is required. An understanding of automation controls including airflow commands, fan switching, point memos and operator commands is required. Must be able to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to work both independently as well as in a team environment. Must be physically capable to carry out the duties of this position (i.e. walk for long periods of time, climb ladders, lift and move heavy material or equipment and respond quickly to building emergencies).

Preferred Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge in one or more of plumbing, mechanical, electrical, sterilizer equipment, nurse call systems and automated building systems is an asset. Arial work platform, harness, CPR and WHMIS training is an asset.
