Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education in a related field and/or technical certification in a related field required or 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate as per ABSA kW rating guidelines where boiler support is necessary. Possession of a valid driver's licence.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Seasoned/Specialized technical/professional experience (i.e. 5-7 years) required. 5 years previous experience in building architectural, structural and associated systems maintenance in an institutional setting. Must be knowledgeable in the maintenance and repair of buildings and architectural and structural systems. Must be familiar with the use of tools and equipment necessary to perform required tasks. Very good verbal and written communication skills. Must be reliable, cooperative and capable of working independently. Must possess initiative and be capable of giving direction and supervision as required. Must be familiar with a variety of tools and equipment used in the maintenance program.
