Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated ability to manage change. Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating environment. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within an organization and ideally managing within a unionized sector. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with CARNA. Effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire other to achieve common goals. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, committees and other partners.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills. Minimum of five years in a supervisory role. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Previous Homecare and LTC experience. Demonstrated knowledge of current nursing concepts and treatment methods.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of MDS, PCS and RAI assessment tool. Understanding of Continuing Care Health Service Standards. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred.
