Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, to provide quality care to patients, and to report observations. Experience in acute care within the last three years is essential. Demonstrated commitment to continuing education is required. Self-directed individual with a positive attitude, and demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, evidenced by performance appraisals and reference checks. Must be up to full scope of practice with IV medications, PICC care etc. Should have an excellent attendance record.
Preferred Qualifications:Immediate past experience on medical units is preferred.
