Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Must have current hemodialysis training. Demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills. Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making abilities. Must be able to provide direction to other health care workers. Must have Physical Assessment, IV Therapy and Medication Administration course. Basic computer skills required. Ability to work independently and in conjunction with other team members. Demonstrate ability to adapt quickly to changing and fluctuating workload. Demonstrate initiative, accountability, interpersonal and communication skills. Successful candidate must be able to lift 40lbs (18kg).
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 1-2 years within the last 5 years Adult Acute Care experience. Recent nephrology nursing experience. Experience with Nephrology Information Systems (NIS). Immunization Certificate.
