Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, to provide quality care to Medical-Surgical patients in the Emergency Department. The ability to work independently in a teamwork environment and to report observations is essential. Must have post graduate certification in infusion therapy, adult physical assessment and medication administration. Must be willing and able to work CASART cases, or be trained to do so. Please note: All Acute Care, Continuing Care, Mental Health and Public Health LPN, RN and RPN applications require a cover letter and current resume outlining experience and abilities relevant to the position. Preferred Qualifications:Experience in an Emergency Department within the last year is preferred. Preference will be given to those that have immunization administration, cardiac arrest management, respiratory review day and managing high acuity courses.
