Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

1 year recent Acute Care experience within the last 3 years. Evidence of excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent surgical experience. Day Surgery Experience. Skills and knowledge to work to full scope of practice. Demonstrates proficiency in clinical assessment skills within scope of practice. Demonstrates strong critical thinking skills. Demonstrates effective patient teaching experience (both written and verbal). Demonstrates high functioning time management, and organizational skills required to function in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
