Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

A keen attention to detail and demonstrated strong organizational skills required. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member required. Demonstrated initiative and strong communication skills required. Computer and direct data entry and clinical documentation skills required. Knowledge and comfort with direct data entry and clinical systems such as MEDITECH required. Successful candidates will have completed the CLPNA self-directed learning modules including the Intramuscular and Intra-dermal Medication Course for Licensed Practical Nurse and the Immunization Certificate for Licensed Practical Nurse. This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

At least 6 months recent immunization delivery experience within the last 1-2 years preferred. Demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning. Knowledge and experience working in community health vaccination programs preferred. Experience working with children preferred. Experience working in a community setting preferred. Experience working with multicultural populations preferred.
