Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience working with children. Experience working in the community setting. At least 6 months recent immunization delivery experience within the last 1 - 2 years. Demonstrated commitment to life-long learning. Excellent written, verbal and computer processing skills. Knowledge and comfort with direct data entry and clinical systems such as PHANTIM / MEDITECH. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member. Demonstrated initiative and strong communication skills with clients of various ages, socioeconomic status and ethnic backgrounds. Completion of the CLPNA self-learning modules including the Intramuscular and Intradermal Medication Course for LPNs and the Immunization Certificate for LPNs. Demonstrated commitment to life-long learning. New grads may be considered if they had a final focus in public health related to school immunization within the last year.
