Required Qualifications:

Completion of certificate in Computer Support or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

A post-secondary certification or diploma in an Information Technology related discipline required. Minimum of 2 years Deskside experience within the last 5 years. Experience includes implementation, operation, repair, and maintenance of computer equipment, applications, and peripherals. In depth knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite. The ability to lift 22 Kg (50 lbs.). Ability to meet physical demands of the position such as: sitting, standing, walking for extended periods. Able to work at computer terminal for extended periods of time. Valid class 5 driver license as travel is required. Establish priorities, schedule work, and assign resources effectively. Analyze concerns or problems arising from daily operations. Assess the effectiveness of programs on the basis of quantifiable outcomes. Promote quality improvement strategies and methodologies to staff. Promote a cooperative work environment and spirit. Function effectively within a highly demanding, dynamic work environment. Meet established, defined, or tight time-lines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven customer service skills and experience in an organization of significant size and complexity is an asset. Previous experience in a healthcare environment is a definite asset. Applicants with ITIL certification will be given preference but will consider other applicable certifications in lieu of ITIL certification.
