Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

5+ years of DBA experience using MSSQL. Knowledge of MSSQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and writing effective SSIS packages and building reports using SSRS. Knowledge of Capacity Planning, consolidation and stress testing Knowledge of Security, Encryption, Permissions and SQL Injection Knowledge of Business Intelligence and different methodologies like Kimball and Inmon. Knowledge of dynamic management views and functions, extended events and traces. Knowledge of replication, clustering, AlwaysOn and other disaster recovery techniques. Ability to write both PowerShell and T-SQL scripts for regular database maintenance tasks. Ability to balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities is necessary. Must have the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams within set project schedules and forge a relationship by communicating effectively with different stakeholders. Experience in the support and management of large database installations. Ability to identify opportunities, develop and implement process improvements. Strong customer service focus is essential. DBAs would be required to be on-call on a rotational basis for a week. Rotation is dependent on the number of DBAs and usually happens once every 14 weeks. Remuneration is provided for carrying the on-call pager.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of other databases like Cache, Oracle and mobile embedded databases like Sybase ASA. Knowledge of SAN storage and Azure. Knowledge of R/Python programming. MSSQL certification. Knowledge of database modeling and writing effective SQL queries would be beneficial.
