Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program with preference towards bachelor’s degree in nursing. 3 – 5 years in a health care provider role and a minimum of one year working in a leadership capacity. Active registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Experience in Home Care and/or Long Term Care.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Effective communication skills, strong organizational skills, client focus, and commitment to quality services. Effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operating within the team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire other to achieve common goals. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within an organization and ideally managing within a unionized sector. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage short term and long term plans and projects and deliver customer focused results.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in Meditech and RAI 2.0. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Diploma in Nursing with three (3) years recent experience in Home Care or Long Term Care may be considered.
