Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree required Masters preparation an asset. Diploma preparation will be considered depending on experience. Strong working knowledge of the Continuing Care Health Service. Standards (CCHSS). Must have knowledge in the interRAI instruments currently in use within Seniors Health; interRAI-CA, RAI-HC and/or RAI-2.0 . Must have knowledge of MEDITECH and Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook. Previous teaching experience preferred with an adult focus in a health care setting. Knowledge and use of applications for virtual meetings or webinar sessions that enables distance learning and support an asset (i.e. Microsoft Lync 2010, Cisco WebEx). Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Proven organizational and problem solving skills, self-directed and independent. Creative and Motivated, demonstrated initiative with well-developed critical thinking skills. Detail oriented with a systematic approach to achieving results. Travel is required throughout the North Zone – Through the Cold Lake to Jasper areas primarily.

Preferred Qualifications:

Progressive record of demonstrated leadership. Past Data review experiences an asset. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
