Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Registered Psychiatric Nurses are welcome to apply. Minimum of two (2)years’ experience within the last five (5) years working with complex care clients (dementia care, early onset dementia, psychiatry, corrections, brain injury and/or developmental disability). Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Possession of a valid driver's licence and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel. Equivalent education, knowledge, and experience will be considered. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of adult learning and change management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Continuing education in the last 2 years related Dementia care, Brain injury or Mental Health e.g. PIECES, Supportive Pathways, Mental Health First Aid, Trauma Informed Care. Experience using Lync or Telehealth. Completion of bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing. Minimum of one year of experience within the last three years with education development/delivery.
