We are currently seeking an experienced Instructional Designer Senior Advisor that is self-motivated, innovative, and can build strong relationships to join our Organizational Effectiveness team. The Senior Advisor reports to the Manager, Employee and Leadership Development, and will provide expert curriculum design, development and implementation in support of the Talent Management Strategies’ (TMS) vision to attract, develop, advance and sustain a capable and engaged workforce. Description:

As an Instructional Designer Senior Advisor, you have practical expertise in instructional design, graphic design and modern learning environments. To be successful you will combine your practical experience and academic knowledge in the planning, design and development of learning solutions using various methodologies and modalities. You will act as a designer, developer and contributor to create learning solutions, programs and products. You will be expected to continually enhance your knowledge and determine current trends and leading practices that provide leaders and employees with the best solutions to suit their development needs. You will also bring a comprehensive knowledge of adult learning principles, employee and leadership development, evaluation, project management skills to the role. You must be able to demonstrate your internal consultation skills to work effectively as a collaborator within the team and with stakeholders to determine learning needs and achieve development and organizational goals. The Instructional Designer must be able to advise and practically apply knowledge about instructional practices, learning outcomes, and delivery modalities. Experience with developing for multiple modalities, with a focus on facilitated learning (in-person/virtual) and eLearning are required. With regard to eLearning, developing using Adobe Captivate is critical.

Required Qualifications:

A degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Adult Education or a related field. A minimum of 3-5 years leading the design, development and delivery of blended learning solutions. Experience with application of adult learning principles and appropriate instructional models, theories and best practices when designing, developing and evaluating eLearning and blended learning solutions. Experience working within a team in developing learning for large, complex organizations. Experience conducting needs assessment and evaluation of training needs. Experience using authoring, design and publishing software primarily Adobe Captivate and Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of graphic design principles, layouts, color theory, user experience design. Experience with a Learning Management System functionality and requirements. Ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts in order to develop learning solutions.
