Required Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Epidemiology, or Public Health. Other clinical health-related baccalaureate or graduate degrees may be considered if curriculum content equivalency can be adequately demonstrated. Minimum of three years' experience in a clinical health care setting, or experience and proficiency in two of the following: 1) patient care practice; 2) microbiology and infectious diseases; or 3) epidemiology and biostatistics. Active or eligible registration with the applicable regulatory college i.e. College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA), College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA), etc.

Additional Required Qualifications:

As required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Infection Control CIC© from the Certification Board of Infection Control. Completion of an IPAC endorsed novice IPC course. Experience in Infection Prevention and Control. Recent experience in; nursing, microbiology and infectious diseases, epidemiology and biostatistics, laboratory technology, or public health.
