Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a Master’s Degree in health promotion, community health education or related field required (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered). Minimum 3 years direct experience working with health service teams required. Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a large health-focused organization leading health promotion initiatives through project management and leadership required. The incumbent will have working knowledge and familiarity with Alberta Health Services and primary care and demonstrated leadership, research, project management, communication and logic model development. Solid understanding health innovation environments. Ability to manage a number of projects concurrently and to successfully manage competing issues and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to foster and sustain relationships and partnerships and a culture of collaboration with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated working knowledge of cancer and chronic disease prevention, population and public health, health equity, quality improvement, applied research methods and critical appraisal skills. Ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Team leadership skills, including demonstrated ability with decision making responsibilities, coaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing a project grant from start to finish is an asset.
