Completion of diploma from an accredited Health Information Management Professional (HIMP) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Familiarity and knowledge of the use of clinical diagnostic and surgical nomenclature and classification systems. Minimum two years related experience in a healthcare environment. Minimum three years’ experience working with spreadsheets, databases and tools for querying, integrating, analyzing and reporting data. Oracle SQL, Crystal Reports or other comparable database query and report writing experience. Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, crystal reports and Access) and the ability to become proficient with new software packages. Demonstrated ability to manage timelines while prioritizing multiple requests with competing deadlines. The ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
