Required Qualifications:

At minimum, 2 years leadership experience in a food service based industry involving hiring, scheduling and directing of work. Leadership experience in a unionized health care environment with strong team building skills with the ability to handle multiple demands concurrently. Completion of a recognized post-secondary program in related food area. Preference given to candidates with a diploma/degree in Dietetics, Nutrition and Food Service Management or Dietary Technology. Education must be accompanied by demonstrated leadership ability, organizational and time management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be proficient with software in a Windows 7 environment - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must possess knowledge in diet terminology. Ability to follow and apply established Diet Guidelines. Ability to meet timelines and to independently prioritize work with attention to detail and accuracy.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within a fast-paced time sensitive work environment. Ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating budget. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Travel between sites is required on an occasional basis.


Preferred Qualifications:

Other certificates such as Food and Beverage Management will be considered. Previous experience in a hot serve meal assembly system, LEAN Six Sigma concepts and WHS will be considered assets. Experience with ESP, ORACLE, e-People (RMS) and e-Facilities are definite assets.
